Dream a Dream Therapeutic Horsemanship is a 501(c)(3) equine-facilitated therapy center that strives to bring the healing power of horses to the special needs population and to bring programs to the Central Texas community that foster learning and growth. Their mission is to partner with their equine friends to provide love, hope and therapy for children and adults with physical, mental, and emotional needs.

DaDTH works with area agencies, behavioral support centers and schools to make horses and riding dreams a possibility. By fulfilling these dreams, hope is formed, and real-life changes are inevitable. The services DaDTH provides are in high demand, and each participant becomes a part of the ‘Dream Family’ of dedicated volunteers and amazing equines who make it all possible. Recently, DaDTH started a literacy project to help foster a love of reading for children in our community. What better to be excited about reading a book than being able to read to one of beloved therapy horses. Funds raised help make their dream of helping others enjoy the wonderful world of horses a reality and to change lives one hoof beat at time. It all comes about with "first words, first steps, first dreams". Thank you so much for your support of DaDTH and the dreams of the families and community they serve.
Dream a Dream was founded in 2007 as a Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship, International (PATH, Intl) member center by Michael and Brenda McCall. Brenda is PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, a behavior specialist and doctoral candidate in Applied Behavior Analysis. They strive to ensure that any individual has access to the benefits of equine facilitated therapy, whether adapted riding skills, summer camp, or their literacy project. Dream A Dream offers partial to full hardship assistance for all their programs. The center is based in Leander, TX and serves individuals from Travis, Williamson, Burnet and Bell counties. |
